  Hi Reborn: I can't compare the Jdubs services to ours because apart from a funeral and a wedding (which i found very unspiritual, very regimented), I've never been to a kingdom hall, but that's my opinion. We all have different styles of worship and as long as our heart is in it that's all that matters. There's a time for studying the word and there's a time for worship. I have to say we know how to worship. These are a couple of songs we sing that I love.

  Let's do something that can bring a smile on someone's face today.....

  i was thinking, many on here are going through a tough time; whether a loss of a loved one, situation changes in our personal life, dealing with ex-jw stuff, or maybe all of the above.

  the sad times can become a bit overwhelming...for us all.

  what if we summitted funny videos (please make them very tame) that could put a smile on someones face?

  renee: Amazing grace is one of my favourite gospel songs. This is a really nice version. I saved the link.

  reborn: One Way was the last song we sang last night. We have a lot of young people so we cater to both young and older. The evening service is sometimes taken over by them and so you can imagine what they choose to sing. There are some great guitarists on the worship team.

  i so loved the post of the kitten the other day.

  i checked-out this week and drank three bottles of gin, even though i stopped in toto four months ago, my wife is out of town.

  please do not post anything about counseling here as i have tried that and am on lots of meds.

  Dear oompa, because of all the commotion with Linda's passing I think a lot of people didn't notice a lot of the threads. I wouldn't have opened this one but because of JK666's thread about his concern for you I finally did.

  I haven't read all the responses but I do see a lot of caring, supportive people here on the board. I know it's not like having people physically with you but it sure beats being totaly alone.

  You start believing all the negative things in your head; that your worthless, that nobody really cares anyway. Think about your wife and children, friends, extended family, people here on this board, so many people are affected if one contemplates suicide or just wishing to pass on. I've been there and the sad, scary thing is that people can care and be supportive but in the end only we can change our circumstances with the help of a professional counsellor. If there is a medical problem then I realize it's a whole different story.

  Please listen to your doctor. I know that it's hard for men to seek help but please do, if not for yourself, for your family.

  I just read JK's post that you are okay right now. Please take care. I will add you to my prayers if that's okay. Heck I will do it anyway.
